The Republican Proposal and Democrat ACA have similar path

As the Republicans seek to craft a comprehensive health care proposal they appear to be following the same path that the Democrats did, in 2009.Their focus is entirely on “coverage”; i.e., who is covered by which program, what is the financial support available for low income, what are the products that people can buy, etc.  There is no focus on the cost of the underlying health care, and how to reduce costs.  Unless we reduce the cost of care, insurance rates will continue to be too high for many to afford.
